What Hotel Xcaret's All-Inclusive Actually Covers

"All-inclusive" is the most abused phrase in resort marketing, so here is what Hotel Xcaret México's version actually bought our family of four, from the bill we actually paid: five nights, $6,058.15, booked direct, July 2026. This page is the line-by-line version. The verdict on whether the rate is worth it lives in our full review; this one is just the inventory.

The park line is the one that changes what kind of trip this is. A standard all-inclusive includes the buffet and the pool. This one includes, per hotelxcaret.com, unlimited access to the Grupo Xcaret parks for everyone in the room. We used three parks in five nights and didn't run out of park; we ran out of days. The three extras that found our wallet
An honest all-inclusive page lists what the rate does not cover. Ours:
- The photo package, about $350. The parks run a professional photo system, and after a week of wanting the pictures we bought the package. Nobody bundles this, and you should know it exists before you fall in love with the shots of your kids in the underground river.
- The spa. Extra, and we skipped it. Five nights with two kids was not a spa itinerary.
- The upcharge restaurants. A handful of premium venues carry a supplement. We never went to one, because we could not finish the included list first, which tells you how much this "extra" matters on a five-night stay: barely.
That's it. No resort fee ambush, no surprise on checkout, no tips that felt demanded. The bill was the rate plus the photos.
The food and drink, honestly
"Included" says nothing about quality, so: the peak is genuinely high (the fish at Xin-Gao was the meal of our trip, and we walked in twice), service recovered every miss we handed it, the buffets are average, and the desserts are the resort's weak spot. Drinks run the standard all-inclusive gamut at the included venues, and nobody in five nights handed us a bill for one.
What "included" means with kids
Two things the brochures soften. First, the included parks still have height and age gates; our four-year-old was turned away from most of Xplor, and that's a park policy, not a package tier (the numbers to plan around are here). Second, the resort side (octopus pool, river beach, kids club) is where the little ones actually live, and all of that is inside the rate. The trip math for small children is a resort trip with parks attached, not the reverse; our day-count page spells out the pacing.

Is alcohol included at Hotel Xcaret?
Yes, at the included venues, the way a standard all-inclusive works. Our five nights ran on the included bars and restaurants throughout the property. The exceptions are the small set of premium restaurants that carry an upcharge; we never needed them, because we didn't finish the included list in five nights.
Are all the Xcaret parks included, or just some?
All of them, in our experience, with no credit system or subset. Our stay covered the main Xcaret park, Xplor, and Xenses, and the rate would have covered the rest had we had the days. This is the single biggest difference between this resort and a standard all-inclusive.
Is transportation included at Hotel Xcaret?
Yes, on both ends. Airport transfers ran on Xcaret's own dedicated buses, and park days ran on the hotel shuttles plus the boat that drops you inside Xcaret park itself. The only transport we paid for was nothing; we never needed a car for five nights.
What costs extra at Hotel Xcaret?
Three things found our wallet: the park photo package, which ran about $350 for the family; the spa; and premium upcharge restaurants, which we skipped entirely. Tips never felt demanded. Everything else on our bill was the room rate and nothing else.
